Some hoard money like old
misers, some are good with money, and some are outright spend-thrifts.
Some make a big effort to contribute to the well-being of others,
some use their money only for themselves. There's a huge amount
of information in such habits and patterns.
In my family, to discuss
money was an unspoken taboo, so I grew up feeling frightened
and guilty about my covert fascination with it and how things-financial
worked. I never had any training with money other than my mother
admonishing me everytime we went to the store that "we can't
afford that!"
One day not too many
years ago, I finally decided that (ah! revelation!) I could turn my fear of talking about
money into excitement about money - especially since I had learned
and was getting such great results from the system I now use.
I wanted to share with others what I had found out, because my
life has shifted so radically.
When I sat down at my computer
to write this book - which I had originally intended as a very
brief, ten-or-so-page tutorial - this amazing story came flying
into my head out of nowhere, all by itself. It was quite literally
nothing I had ever even thought of writing.
 |
I suddenly and very
abruptly got all
these images and ideas, and I had to come to a full stop to listen
to the words and see the images that were flooding into my head.
I tried to keep it to the
tutorial, but it just didn't work: it seemed so deadly boring.
Who would read it or get anything out of it if even I was bored???
All these piggies in my head were clamoring, so I gave in, and
let go of the "short" tutorial.
|
As I wrote, part of
me continued to mildly resist the idea - who would want to read a story instead
of a business-type tutorial? Who this.... Who that .... All my
doubts came flying in my face.
But at last, I found that
I was enjoying the writing - and especially the drawing - too
much to stop. I sat here and laughed my head off at some of their
ideas! And I began to see the merits of the story format.

Here's what the original drawings looked

Remember the old fairy
tales? Stories
maybe your parents read you, or that you read yourself? Didn't
they go a lot deeper into your subconscious than the rote-remembered
multiple tables in school? What if they taught all that memorized
stuff in songs, or in stories? It'd be so much more fun, and
we'd find it so much easier!

Good ad copywriters say
state a fact, tell three stories. So, why not a story that contains
the facts, illustrating exactly how to use the system you're
getting across??
As the story progressed, I'd write out a part, do the
illustrations, scan them in, color them, insert them into the
book format - and suddenly the ideas would stop! Blank - nothing.
The first time that
happened, I freaked out - hey! you got me into this, you better keep it up! But
I found that if I just allowed myself to stop for a few minutes
and get horizontal (some of us think/dream better horizontally!),
I'd juuuuust begin to doze off and ***!!!BLAM!!!*** a whole new
bunch of chapters and drawings - voice-over and full color -
would plop itself right into my noggin.
|
They were so exciting and
so compelling that I literally would jump right off the bed and
run to the desk to continue. Even painting doesn't feel that
compelling to me - this was incredible!
There were times I fought
the story because
it seemed like it was dragging and not getting anywhere.
|
But every time I did that,
I'd have to go back, erase, and write what I heard/saw.
For about the last half
of the book, I simply gave up and watched.
I laughed, I doubted (still)
and I really wondered how things would be worked out - there
were so many little places where it could have gotten skewed.
And things turned around
for a few of the characters in ways that totally surprised me.
I finally came to the
conclusion that the characters in the story represent those aspects of our being
that speak to us in the every day running of our lives.

I watched as each one in
the story changed, got sick or got healthy, got good ideas and
bad, went through their Stuff - and in the end, if they listened
and followed the Ancient Secrets, all was well.
Needless to say, this book
- and accompanying booklets - have been just such a pleasure
to witness coming forth and bring into fruition. I wanted something
different from the run-of-the-mill how-to books on money and
prosperity - I sure got it!
And now you can enjoy
it, too. I really
hope you like them as much as I have as I wrote and illustrated
the story, and that you get even more use out of the system
the story is wrapped around and through.
